Fergis Begins to Travel with the Wild Turkey

Deep in the south, beside the cruel muddy banks of a muddy river, a fugitive opens a can of beans with a rock.

“Blast,” he says. “I’ll never get these open and I’m hungry as hell.”

“Glululu-ululu!” cried a giant Wild Turkey as it emerged out of some bushes. The creature stood over five feet tall and weighed hundreds of pounds as clumps of moss and dirt lined its feet.

“Please open these beans!” Fergis said.

“Glulul!”

The creature did. Fergis ate them. Then Fergis rode on to freedom on the back of a Wild Turkey. His fugitive stomach was full.
